Black and white, sepia-toned postcard of an airplane, a Fairchild FC-2, Model 51, registration NC5364. The airplane is on skis on frozen water. Five people, four men and one boy stand around the plane while another man sits on top of the plane. This man has a container in his hand, attached to which is a hose that is connected to a barrel on the ground. It appears as though he is adding fuel to the plane. Another barrel is visible on the ground as is a palette with cargo. Mountains are visible in the background.
Embossed in the lower PL corner of the postcard is "Valdez Drug Co./ Valdez, Alaska"
The back of the postcard reads "Post Card/ Correspondence/ Address/ Place Stamp Here" The word "Azo" is written four times around the "Place Stamp Here" section.
Donor caption reads "Fairchild".
This Fairchild FC-2, Model 51 was owned by Pacific International Airways, based in Anchorage, Alaska and was dismantled in September 1932.
