Black and white, sepia-toned photograph of an airplane, a Fairchild FC-2W2, registration GC-ARM, named "Claire". The airplane is on the frozen water on skis. There is snow on the ground and the airplane appears to be about to take off.
Landscape indicates this photo was likely taken in the Yukon.
Photograph has a 0.5 cm white border around it. Back of the photo has a blue ink stamp that reads: "Crystal Finish/ 800/ Will Not Fade".
GC-ARM was the first corporate airplane in the Yukon, belonging to the Treadwell Yukon Mining Company, which was based in Mayo, Yukon. Ev Wasson was the plane's pilot. (From Bush Pilot Room text)
