Black and white, sepia-toned photograph of an airplane, a Fairchild FC-2W2, registration GC-ARM, named "Claire". The airplane is on the frozen water on skis. There is snow on the ground and two men stand in front of the airplane dressed in fur coats; another person appears to be taking a photograph as a boy looks on. A building with a smoke stack, a bridge and mountains are visible in the background. Under the wing, an old registration is visible .
Landscape indicates this photo was taken in the Yukon, likely Carcross.
Photograph has a 0.5 cm white border around it. Back of the photo has a blue ink stamp that reads: "Crystal Finish/ 800/ Will Not Fade".
GC-ARM was the first corporate airplane in the Yukon, belonging to the Treadwell Yukon Mining Company, which was based in Mayo, Yukon. Ev Wasson was the plane's pilot. (From Bush Pilot Room text)
