Typed paper telegram via White Pass & Yukon Route. Sent November 6, 1929 to Gordon Stewart from Helen Actison. Point of delivery is Ocean Falls, B.C. destination is Whitehorse, Yukon. Acknowledges death of Yukon Airways & Exploration Company Ltd. pilot John Patterson (Pat). Telegram reads:
" 12 N.L. Paid Ocean Falls, B.C. Nov. 6/ Gordon Stewart/ Yukon Airways/ Whitehorse Y.T./ Saw about Pat in the paper my sincere sympathy Letter follows/ please write/ 9.25 am/ Helen Actison"
Stewart and Patterson barnstormed up the coast of B.C. in September, 1929. One stop was at Ocean Falls, B.C. It was here that Stewart recounts in his 1977 interview that flights were given here to women from "houses of ill repute". The pair spent about three weeks in Ocean Falls, so Helen may or may not have been a women from the above mentioned houses of ill repute.
