This shovel was possibly used on the Lorain Crane.
Lorain truck mounted crane was made by the Sheridan Equipment company in Lorain, Ohio. The crane was a product of industrial inventor Richard Thew. Known as the Thew shovel, this crane concept created by R. Threw in 1895 was innovative for its 360 degree revolving power shovel, with much more range and mobility than the steam-shovels before hand.
