1951 GMC Tanker truck with the word "Avgas" lettered on a rectangular wooden sign bolted along both sides of tank on top of service compartments: "AVGAS; 80/87; NATO SYMBOL F-12", Chevron symbol on tank shoulder. Number 02213 painted in rust red paint on step below driver's side door.

Truck painted white on top and pale grey around lower areas, remnants of rust coloured trim paint around cab windows and trim. Chrome GMC plaques on both sides of hood show remnants of this colour. Metal manufacturer's plaque attached on inside of driver's door: " Make/Model: GMC HF454; Date of Manufacture: Oct. 19, 1951; Order Number: CD502436; Vehicle Code: D. 27; Nomenclature: Truck Fueler 1500 Gals.; Chassis Serial #: 681; Engine Serial #: A270788279; Pump Serial number (not given); Pump Model (not given); Exterior Paint: RCAF yellow. Electrical sump gauge mounted in centre of dash, number 3084 painted in white paint on dash.

3 green lights mounted on top of cab, 3 red lights mounted on top of rear of tank. Word "FLAMMABLE" in red paint on top of back of tank (worn); expanded metal on back shelf step. Wooden box attached to driver's side of truck near cab end contains neon sign, not part of artifact.
Used by White Pass & Yukon Route as part of their airport service for fueling airplanes.
