The posters were collected by Peter Anthony Garside, who timed many of the Yukon Quest races. For a time they were on display in the Midnight Sun Hotel in Dawson.
Yukon Quest posters were published and sold every year as souvenirs of the Quest. Purchasers often collected signatures of the mushers on their poster.

The Quest had operated with both a Canadian board and an Alaska board. But in 2022, the race split over proposed rule changes to the 2023 race.Since then, there have been Yukon Quest races in both Yukon and Alaska, operating independently of each other with shorter course distances.;A one page printed sheet is glued to the back of the poster.
