On the bottom left and right corners of the photograph there are inscriptions written in white, saying “Skagway Alaska” & "Case & Draper". The photograph shows Skagway, Alaska and its port, with the townsite and mountains in the background, most likely circa 1900. There are hundred of small people in this photo along the dock where a ship is docked. These people are most likely stampeders making their way to the Klondike Gold Rush. The dock and board walk are seen leading into the townsite. There are two more docks leading over the shore to two big wooden warehouses. In the background is a big snow covered mountain, and hill with no trees. The back of this frame is wooden, with ripped brown paper and a wire strung across to hang this on a wall.
