Hand-held 'Thommen' altimeter attached with four metal rivets to brown leather case. Number 15000F' engraved in leather at top of case. 'Thommen Switzerland Altimeter 19 Jewels'. Markings in feet, '0, 500, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 2,500'. Used by Dr. Aaro Aho in his mining exploration work.
