Amalgamator, laying on its side. Metal tag 13 x 7 located 0.5 cm from top edge of drum "Risdon Iron Works Builders, San Francisco, Cal. USA". Looks like round metal tub, no lid. 92 cm diam x 42 cm deep. Attached to steel rim 8 cm high with four metal legs 15 x 13 x 2.5 cm thick. Metal bolt 20 cm long in two of the legs, for securing the amalgamator to a surface. Three holes drilled on one side of amalgamator, from bottom at 8, 20 and 30 cm. Amalgamator sits on metal casing 50 cm high. Pipe runs through center of tub, 72 cm through top of tub, exdtending 52 cm at bottom of tub. The pipe in the tub is encased in metal 52 cm high, tapering from 30 cm to 10 cm diam at top. The top 23 cm of the pipe sticks through the top of the metal encasement. At bottom end of pipe is a cogged wheel 12 cm from end of pipe. Cogged wheel 51 cm diam has 6 metal spokes 14 x 5 x 1 cm thick.
